Piping

At West Coast Pre Fab we are able to support your piping needs with the planning and execution of projects small and large. The majority of our applications are welded steel and stainless steel. We do work a lot with grooved and threaded piping. Occasionally in hard plastics (PVC and CPVC) and soft plastic fusion (HDPE).

Design and Planning

Our experienced team can design piping between any two points if required, they are also adept at supporting pipe fitters in field runs. We have mechanical engineering support if required to complete designs that require fluid dynamic or stress calculations. WCPF often optimized routing and specializes in practical components and designs as we are the ones building them.

Procurement & Quality Continuity

We source piping and piping components from various suppliers in Western Canada. We have no ties to vendors and can compare costings and are agile enough for 1-time purchases of very specialized equipment. All materials come through our procurement system and quality traceability if required.

Registered & Specialty Piping

Certified high pressure, chemical and steam piping capabilities. Registered quality program with Technical Safety BC. ASME 31.1, 31.3 procedures. Experience with Z662 and AWWA. Processes for specialty alloy piping for corrosive materials, lined piping, titanium as well as cleaning, heat tint and purging.

Spooling Shop

Large shop and tent area for spooling at our facility. Setup for efficient turning and handling for each job. Separated steel and alloy areas to avoid contamination. Trained personnel and experience in quality management systems and chain of custody.

Field Crews

Crews both small and large to install pre-spool pipe by ourselves or others or field-run pipe. Setup and tooled to do almost any job in the field, from ½” gland water to 60” water lines. Available 24/7 for pipe repairs. Large blanking/blinding crews for isolation and maintenance.

Auxiliary Piping Services

Available in-house or with close contacts to complete all aspects of piping systems. Design, fabrication and installation of static and seismic pipe supports. Bridge/gallery fabrication and modification. Insulation and cladding for hot, cold or heat tracing. Installation of mechanical components for flow control, instrumentation, flow conditioning, pumping and much more.
